Affordable Places To Live In The Houston Metro Area If you are moving to the Houston, Texas metro area, you probably wonder which areas can give you a pleanant environment, and an affordable place to live. It is no secret that the entire area is known as one of the cheapest large metro areas to live in, but some areas are real bargains! Spring Spring is a bedroom community just north of the actual Houston city limits. It is also just south of The Woodlands. It provides very easy access to both Houston and The Woodlands from the North Freeway, and other streets. Even if you never leave this particular community, you can find plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment. Plus, the northern suburb contains two great school districts - Spring ISD and Klein ISD! CNN Money ranked Spring, Texas as the 5th most affordable place to live in the US too! West Houston Neighborhoods vary a lot in west Houston. You can find some of the most expensive and exclusing neighborhoods, but you can also travel a couple of miles and find plenty of affordable neighborhoods! You can find almost anything you need if you are close to Westheimer and I-10 (Katy Freeway) too. Plus, many people work in the west Houston area, and get to enjoy a short commute. A short commute may save you a lot of money in the long run anyway! |
